Episode 79: Chloe Caldwell & Estelle Tang on Election WTF, Your 20s, and Hungry Ghosts

LISTEN HERE.

It’s been a brutal week post election, however I hope the dream-team combo of essayist and author Chloe Caldwell and Estelle Tang, the culture editor at Elle.com, will brighten your day. After spending an hour in the company of these two women I felt hopeful and energized and I think you will too. Chloe is the author of the novella, Women, and the collection of essays Legs Get Led Astray, which was published in 2012 on her 26th birthday. Most recently, she shared her second essay collection I’ll Tell You in Person with the world, about complicated friendships, addiction and identity. The book is published by Emily Gould (you are missed!) and Ruth Curry’s Emily Books (with Coffee House Press), an independent press committed to published weird books by weird women.

I hope you enjoy this discussion which touches upon finding that thing you don’t want to quit, the allure of a famous friend, and how to have a healthy life while writing personal nonfiction.
